Karga Seven Pictures is a Los Angeles-based production company specializing in non-fiction television, feature films and commercials. Since its launch by founding partners, Sarah Wetherbee, Kelly McPherson and Emre Sahin in 2008, Karga Seven has produced more than 500 hours of programming, including the hit series, Booze Traveler (Travel), Hunting Hitler (History) and Cry Wolfe (Investigation Discovery).

Karga Seven’s documentary special, Got Your 6 (MTV) highlighted the lives and struggles of young soldiers returning home from Afghanistan and was nominated for two Daytime Emmys in 2015. That same year, Karga Seven was named one of Realscreen’s Global 100, recognizing them as one of the top international non-fiction and unscripted production companies in the world.

Karga Seven currently has 11 new and returning series in production with History, Travel, Discovery, Red Bull, Investigation Discovery and MSNBC. They’re launching their first Digital series in the fall of 2016.

MEET THE TEAM

EMRE SAHIN / KELLY MCPHERSON / SARAH WETHERBEE

Emre Sahin, Kelly McPherson and Sarah Wetherbee serve as Karga Seven’s Principals and Executive Producers. Together they have over 20 years experience writing and producing for networks such as Discovery, History, Science, Food Network, Cooking, TLC, Syfy, and Travel Channel.

Kelly, an award-winning producer and two-time Writer’s Guild of America Award nominee, served as Executive Producer on the hit Food Network docuseries, Ace of Cakes. Sarah and Emre created, directed and executive produced History’s Cities of the Underworld, one of the top 5 most watched series in the cable network’s history. An award winning director, Emre wrote and directed the feature film, 40, shot on location in Istanbul. The theatrically released film, also produced by Sarah, made its North American debut at the Toronto International Film Festival. 40 is the follow up to Emre’s award-winning short film, Canta.

 

TRACY BACAL, CEO & SVP of Production

Tracy Bacal joined Karga Seven Pictures in 2013 as the SVP of Production, and currently serves as CEO and SVP of Production. A native of Australia, Bacal oversaw production there for FremantleMedia Melbourne on a variety of formats. Her credits include Australia’s Got Talent, The X Factor – Australia, Project Runway Australia and the scripted series, Blue Heelers and Stingers. Most recently, Bacal served as Executive-in-Charge of Production for CBS’s Let’s Make A Deal.
